In #Emergent-Perception, our goal is cutting-edge research towards discoveries in both human and machine perception and embodied cognition. Our team aims to unravel the intricacies of the human mind as it processes sensory information and responds to the world around us. Through interdisciplinary collaboration in VR/AR/XR, illusions, sound, and touch, we aim to shed light on the new emerging phenomena that can shape our perception of reality.
Led by Project Assistant Professor Sohei Wakisaka, our team consists of researchers, Doctoral, and Master students from the Keio University Graduate School of Media Design. We also collaborate with researchers from the University of Tokyo, and our extended network includes experts from diverse fields such as psychology, artificial intelligence, and neuroscience. Together, we work towards unraveling the mysteries of emergent perception, pushing the boundaries of human understanding.
